Land of nature, tradition and future

Lapland truly has seasons. In the winter, you may feel the snow crunch beneath your boots and see how the pure soft show sparkles under the pale winter sun. In the summer, the midnight sun is everywhere, painting the endless summer sky in shades of gold. When nights are cold, you may see the northern lights – rippling green, violet, and pink – dance across the Arctic sky.

Midnight sun is not just for one night. In the northernmost Lapland, the sun stays above the horizon for two months from mid-May to mid-July. During “kaamos”, the mid-winter months of December and January, a mysterious period of dark and dusk, we won’t see the sun for eight weeks.

All this you can find in Northern Lapland – a land of silence, magic, and wonder, where nature, tradition and future intertwine.
